How fast is Alaska Communications' High-Speed Internet?
Alaska Communications' High-Speed Internet is available in three speeds-320Kb, 1Mb and 3Mb. Our upload speeds are two times faster than cable Internet. That means you can upload your pictures, videos, business documents, presentations, or whatever else you might want to share.in half the time!
Do I ever have to pay for downloads?
With Alaska Communications' High-Speed Internet, there are never any overage charges. Download all the music, videos clips, or movies you want and you'll never pay more than your monthly fee.
Will I need to install an additional phone line?
No. You will not need an additional phone line. One of the advantages of Alaska Communications' High-Speed Internet over internet from the cable company is that your connection is available in any room you have a phone jack. No need to run cable wires.
Can I use my fax machine and the Internet at the same time?
Yes. You will not experience any interruption in your phone or fax service.
Will my current phone features work with Alaska Communications' High Speed Internet
Yes. Adding Alaska Communications' High-Speed Internet to your phone line does not affect your other telephone services and features.
If my modem loses power, do I lose phone service?
No. The modem is designed so that your normal telephone service will operate even if the modem is unplugged or otherwise disabled.
What equipment do I need to get Alaska Communications' High Speed Internet?
You will need your computer and an active phone line. In addition, you will need DSL filters and a modem, both of which are included for free in your Alaska Communications' High-Speed Internet kit.
How do I install my Alaska Communications' High-Speed Internet?
After you place your order, we will send you self-install kit. The kit will walk you through the simple installation process, including installing your DSL modem, using DSL filters, and installing your DSL software. Instructions are included in the kit, and our live technical support is always available for help.
How will I know when my service is available
We will notify you of your service ready date.

Alaska Communications' High-Speed Internet includes two email accounts.
Is there a money-back guarantee?

Try Alaska Communications' High-Speed Internet for 30 days risk free. If you're not completely satisfied, you may cancel your service within 30 days of your service ready date and receive a refund for any charges you've paid for the service. We only ask that you return the modem and any other equipment we've given you within 30 days of cancellation to avoid an equipment charge. Learn more about our modem return policies.
